Hi Gowelch, I think 12x24 would look lovely though 12x12 would look nice as well.

I found this site with really lovely bath remodel photos: they used a lot of rectangular tiles (likely 12x24's) -- but there is no info available:

Thanks so much for the link, it really helps.

I used 12" tiles for my floor (mistake) and 16" tiles for my shower. The 16" look SO much better. I would have used larger if I could have. The large tiles give it a luxurious look like you see in the bathroom magazines. I did see some examples of large rectangular (probably 12 x 24) in some pictures and it looked good. I would not be afraid of those tiles. The next question will be how to use them. Straight, staggered?
