We were going to use our existing Grohe shower components in our new bath, but came into an unexpected small windfall and purchased the Kohler DTV system, new shower heads (fixed & hand-held) and slidebar. Now we find that Kohler does not make a soap holder that attaches to the slidebar. We just assumed that everyone made such an item.

We could buy a "free standing" soap dish and put it in the shower niche, which is at the other end of the shower stall -- about 65" long. But we'd really prefer a soap holder on the slidebar, because it keeps the soap from getting soft and mungy,

The Grohe soap dishes fit either a 1" or a 1 1/8" slidebar; our Kohler is 7/8" in diameter. The folks at the local Kohler showroom which also sells Grohe say that we can't fit one on the other.

Does anyone know of a company that makes these or of some way to retrofit a Grohe 1" dish onto a Kohler bar (model 8524).
