Repair or replace? Our marble threshold is cracked.

I noticed today that our threshold is cracked from top to bottom near the right-hand edge. The tile setter said we can put a caulk in the "seam," but I am also concerned because the outermost edge of the stone has dunked a little, causing one part of the stone to the right of the crack to be highe and jagged than the remaining, longer portion of the threshold. The interior walls of the shower are complete. Would removing the threshold cause major damage? Is it worth it? Would it be a mistake to leave it this way?
