Vanity Lighting

I have a small vanity area. I am putting in 3 can lights. Should I put in a light fixture(s) over the recessed medicine cabinets (or one vertical light between the cabinets) for the aesthetic appeal (although the can lights will provide lots of lighting)?

Can you get a light each on each side of the medicine cabinets? That usually is the best for looking at the face, for shaving and makeup.
