Faucet for ikea lillangen sink

I would like to install a grohe faucet on the ikea lillangen bathroom sink. (The narrow model with the faucet on the side.) Does anyone know if there are any issues with using a "non-ikea" faucet?

The faucets themselves are interchangeable with most single-hole faucets, though the drain plumbing for some of their sinks (particularly those used with the Godmorgan cabinets, which the Lilangen isn't) may need Ikea's Rinnen plumbing that quickly moves things to the rear to clear space for the drawers underneath - it's included with some of their sinks. I've never used the Lillangen though so don't know with that one.

Frankly, very few people use ikea faucets--the quality is fairly poor. There's no problem with using any standard faucet you like.

sblct -- did you end up using the grohe faucet with the Ikea sink? Which one did you install? Are you happy with the sink -- we are looking at that sink for our tiny downstairs powder room.

    Thanks!
