Vanity Countertops- Laminated Edge

Hello!

I asked my contractor for options for building up a 2cm quartz countertop (for each of my two 30" bathroom vanities). [NOTE: I needed a 2cm slab for all other solid surfaces in the bathroom hence the 2cm countertop issue.]

My preference is for a clean profile (like a laminated bevel edge or even a mitered edge) that is not super expensive (though I know a laminated edge will not be cheap). However, my contractor provided me with a more intense option- with some offsetting (which is not my preference but, in his opinion, is better for hiding a seam)- and a $800+ upcharge.

I haven't been able to find a ton of photos of laminated edge vanities online (or costs associated with the same) and would be interested in any photos of laminated vanity countertop edges and costs associated with the same (especially of lighter colored quartz and marble, for which I have read a glued seam can be more visible). Thanks in advance for any photos and/or advice!
