Beautiful 1928 bathrooms

I came across this house when searching for some examples in a post on the Building forum. Built in 1928 in a Mediterranean style, on sale in Chicago for $900K. The listing has pictures of two bathrooms which look original. Beautiful.

Don't care for the wallpaper, though.

These are grand! What do you suppose is going on with the toilet seat in the blue bathroom? Is that original or was it custom made recently? I can't imagine a seat lasting that long.

Interesting! Thank you for posting them.

My guess is the toilet seat was a custom replacement to match the shape of the bowl. Toilet and pedestal sink match in form.

Wow. Just wow.

It's always so nice to see original work in a home this old. Even if the style isn't quite what I'd like, I love people who respect the house!

My 1925 bathroom wasn't nearly that fancy!

Always ;-)

It's not my style either, but I can appreciate the beautiful design!

Those are splendid, although I suspect the wallpaper is a replacement. I'd kill for either of those sinks. Thanks for posting this.

Love these! Thanks for posting.

Interesting that they have the "commercial/industrial" looking flush mechanism, no tank.
