Height of Frameless Shower Door? Photos of Shower Stalls.

What is the proper height -- asthetically for a frameless glass shower enclosure for a 36" x 36" shower stall? The standard for the company I'm using is 72"H anything more than 72"H will be an extra $400. My ceiling height is 8'. Is 2 ft. gap between glass and ceiling ok? Can you show me pictures of your showers with the height included. My bathroom is small 7ft x 7.5 Ft.

Contractor just informed me that we need 3 more BOXES of wall tile. The cost overrun here is getting ridiculous. Remodel is going on 7 weeks and counting...

This is a semi-frameless shower, but it's 6' tall, so has the 2 foot gap you speak of. Unfortunately I don't have a photo showing the ceiling, but hopefully it gives you an idea.

When I had the shower door guy out to measure, he made a point of checking how high the shower head was. Ours is on a sliding bar, so it can go up pretty high. We have a 6" curb and a 6' shower wall/door height, and it is fine with our standard 8' ceiling. Our "gap" is 18". Remember also that this "gap" benefits the air circulation in your shower to help dry it out so that you don't get moldy grout. Unless you have a very high shower head (very tall shower user) you should be fine.
