Tile under the vanity or not ???

My contractor wants to tile under the vanity . Good or bad ? He also wants to put wood baseboards ( I didn't tile the wall running between the shower and the toilet or around the toilet ). I previously had ceramic baseboards .

I prefer tile under the vanity. It looks better (no cut tiles butting up to the toe kick) and enables you to change out the vanity later without changing the tile.

I like wood baseboards as well. No problem to use them on a tile floor. It's a personal choice as to which look you prefer.

Yes tile under vanity. If the walls aren't tiled, wood baseboards look more modern IMHO.

Thank you weedyacres and christaM for your feedback. However it's not in my book that I will ever change the vanity again ( after what I am going through ) . Maybe the new owners of the house after when we come to sell it , definitely not me .

Just started our renovation today! My contractor said that it right way is to tile under the vanity. I was glad to hear that. I think cleaning dust and junk in the crevices would be tough.

Yes. Tile under the vanity for a smooth, clean look.

Definitely tile under the vanity... your tile installation will look so much better.

Ditto on the tile under the vanity, and on the wood base molding. We did that in all three bathrooms.
