I would go with black or white. What material will you be using for the countertops? I suggest browsing bathroom pictures on home decor sites to see what look tends to appeal to you more. Also consider the overall style of the rest of your home and which look would fit best. IMO, black has a more sophisticated look while white often has a lovely vintage look, especially when used with little crystal knobs.

Either option looks rich and beautiful. I have white with carrara marble top. I like the clean white look of a nearly all white bathroom. However, there are also fantastic examples of dark wood with carrara marble tops. Do you want a crisp white look? Or a contrasting deep stained (or painted) look? It is really a matter of personal preference. Also, as doggiemom mentions, consider how the style fits in with the rest of your home.

I love both! We choose an espresso finish.

PPS - What is the color of paint in the bathroom with the expresso colored vanities? Is the floor marble? What is the pattern? I love it. I wanted marble in my bathroom soooo bad. We heard horror stories so I went with calcatta marble accents instead. Any issues with the marble?

We have carrera basket weave tile on our floor and carrera slabs on our vanities in our master. We went with painted white cabinets - we did BM Decorator's White which has a slight grey undertone.

The wall color is BM gray wisp. The floor is a marble look alike porcelein tile : AO catarina. The counter tops and our shower bench are carrera marble. Surprisingly, these have held up fine without any issues.
