Hi,
I was considering marble tile from the Tile Shop (Hampton Carrara 2x2) for shower floor, until a potential contractor told me I should stay away from marble because it absorbs water, that I should use caramic or porcelain and there're plenty that has marble looks. I began researching on the web and found that marble does require a lot maintenance. So I wonder if someone here had the same experience and what alternatives do people choose - brands please.
