| Before I freak out because we are several weeks from cabinet install, but my plumbing was installed today and we have double sinks, one on left side to main valve it is about 39 inches and right side from wall is about 30....Does this make a difference, I surely want them to be proportioned correctly. Is this an issue, this is a remodel, so I assume they came off the same main valve but I took out a cabinet on the left. I hope this makes sense. |

| It depends. If the plumbing will be exposed (pedestal,console, wall hung sinks, etc) it's best to have the plumbing supply and drain centered off the sink. If it'll be enclosed in a vanity, there is a certain amount of leeway from the sink center...but it still has to fall within the confines of the cabinet that will hold the sink. You need the plumbing to clear obstructions. Cabinet walls, drawers, etc. It can also depend on if the sinks will be plumbed independently...two separate sets of supplies and two separate traps and drain lines. Your plumber should have plumbed according to plans given to him by the general contractor. So the GC would be the person to ask. |
