Adhere Beadboard to 50's tiled walls - Anyone do?

We were thinking of covering up the 50's gray and maroon tile with white beadboard and chair rails. Has anyone done this? If so, did you just use a construction grade adhesive to the back and stick it on??

Pics?

Um, no.No. NO! That's not the way to do it at all. You need to remove the tile, install new drywall, and then you can put beadboard on the wall.

Thank you Holly! You must remove the tile, seriously.
