Thanks!! It was a big project also I only spent about $3500 on the whole thing.
I also installed the toilet and put the caulking around the shower.

Your hard work has really paid off. You must have gotten some great deals and done some homework. I love the diagonal tub.

Thanks! I was going to move the toilet by the vanity and put the bathtub under the window and install another window to make it symmetrical but I'm kind of glad I left it how it is. I have one question for all of you guys should I paint those 2 big mirrors behind the bathtub black? Or should I leave them silver?

I think the mirrors look good as they are, but would look good in black too, to tie in with the vanity. Maybe leave for now until you feel like you need a change and then paint them.

So pretty and so different than most baths these days. That tub is to die for. I can't believe your budget. The tub looks like it would cost at least that much on it's own. I'd leave the mirrors silver, since you already have one dark one that is such a different style from the other two. I'm afraid it might emphasize the difference if they were all dark. You may need to keep your eye out for a great little crystal chandelier at a budget price on craigslist to hang in that corner :)

I want that tub! Too bad I've already got one installed that I've never used - remodeling has to wait til a minimum 10 yrs after I finish the current bath! What model is it and how much was it (and dimensions) if you don't mind?

Leave the mirrors silver. Looks very elegant with the marble and the tub.

But speaking of lighting, umm, are you planning on leaving those 2 above the vanity? Sorry, but remind me of D-cups placed next to each other like that. Maybe a chandelier there, or if you can't move wiring, a couple of mini-pendants (silver and crystal)?

I, too, love the slipper tub set diagonally - it's different and elegant. I think the silver mirrors add to the elegance.

That's funny ajsmama but those lights are staying I actually just bought them. But I do have a little chandelier for above the bathtub its the same one that's in my kitchen.

The tub is acrylic so it only weights a little more then 100 pounds its 69" long 28.5" wide and 31" high and the water depth is 12.5" to the overflow. I bought it from elite bath on eBay for $1190 with the faucet, drain, and supply lines also with free shipping. I originally was getting one from vintage tub but then I found this one and it had great reviews and the seller was also very good to deal with.

The sink is from lowes its Allen+Roth I'm glad I found it because you normally don't find any other shape then round without having to special order.

I've got to measure mine to the overflow - all framed in, nice size for soaking, we built the house (including rough-in) almost 5 years ago and it's taken me this long to get around to finishing it (see my "backer board" thread)! But I will look for a slipper tub if and when we ever get around to remodeling. You got an amazing deal!

Latest thing - moved the vanity (not to code - have to add 4" to the right for sink center to be 15" from wall). Drained the lines, removed the shutoff valves, moved the vanity, plugged the lines waiting for filler piece for vanity but when I turned the water back on (cold water only) cold water was squirting from one of the hot water lines! I did get it mopped up, had to call my uncle for some muscle to get the hose clamp on tight enough, but started thinking that maybe builder connected the wrong supply to that line? Might have to open wall and make a new connection (might have to move one of the cold water lines too, could end up behind drawers when we re-set the vanity).

Doesn't sound like fun. What are your water lines made out of? Copper or pex?

Pex, so it should be easy. Though I learned how to sweat copper in the old house. Let's just hope the lines are mis-connected in the wall right behind the vanity, and not buried somewhere in the floor or a different wall. DH thinks the water is cold in the shower, but I think it's just b/c the stops are set too low (can't even turn the shower handle a full 90 degrees). But I need to connect Pex with threaded connectors to soaking tub valves so I can put braided hose on them, check that the proper temp water is coming out there (if they're just switched, no problem, but 2 cold water or 2 hot water taps would not be good). So another trip to HW store tomorrow for 2 more hose clamps, b/c the crimp clamps are just too much of a pain to take off and I'm assuming that plumber will put in a different type connector to go to the copper valve for the Roman tub faucet (after I get the deck tiled so he can install the faucet).

They make a cutter to cut the crimps off of the pex and it works well for me. I would suggest taking the hose clamps off and using the crimps because I never could get a hose clamp tight enough. Also there should be a fitting to go from the pex to your faucet that can be crimped on.

Well, we had an awful time getting the crimps off when we pulled off the valves today. Crimp/cutter tool didn't have instructions on removal, and wasn't sharp enough to cut, my uncle had to twist and break the old crimps. Hose clamps are on tight now, gonna stay that way till I'm ready to reinstall the vanity (will check temp of water when drain lines, before securing vanity to the wall).

I'm gonna let the plumber connect the rough valve for the tub - don't want to mess that up, pretty $$ part (R2707), I need to hire someone to drill the holes to install the faucet and handshower anyway since I don't have proper drill bit for ceramic/cement/plywood *thick* deck (and also don't want responsibility of drilling out acrylic). Sinks I can do ;-)

I might also have the plumber adjust the stops on the shower if I can't see how to get escutcheon off - don't want the responsibility of taking that off the acrylic shower, either.

I know what your saying I would hire someone aswell if I wasn't 100% comfortable doing something that way if something goes wrong its not your fault. LOL!!!

I have seen some pictures of vanities with the backsplash tiled to the ceiling and I really liked it so I decided to go ahead and do it. I used mini subway tiles ran vertically and I think it looks really nice. I ran out of tiles so its not completely finished. And yes I used the tile mat from home depot and its always worked for me. I did my kitchen backsplash three years ago and it hasn't moved. I even did my entry floor and small bathroom floor with it three years ago aswell and I haven't had a problem. LOL!!!

Probably about 15 years ago at Wal-Mart. Lol!! They started out gold then I painted them white and now painted them silver. But I have seen similar ones online.
