we had already picked out the victoria and albert york, but our plumber is now saying he needs a 12" clearance to the back wall to be able to reach the plumbing. that unfortunately makes the tub jut out of my space. his recommendation was to rotate the tub a 180 degrees and have the plumbing on the front - that sounds terrible to me, i don't need to see the drain line front and center in the bathroom.

long story short, does any one have recommendations for a good website i can see lots of side drain tubs? if there is a reason not to go for a side drain tub, would love to hear those too. or, just a recommendation in the mid-price range if you have one.
