| So what is the final verdict on Swanstone as a shower surround?
Does it look good or cheap?
Does it wear well?
Does it clean easily?
How is the best way to order the materials?
What have you heard or seen?
This is a big decision for me and I really need help. |

| We installed a Swanstone tub surround in our family bathroom. We ordered from Lowe's. It is very heavy, sturdy and thick, does not move or buckle when you push on it, like some of the acrylic surrounds. It has been installed for about a year, and so far it has worn very well. It cleans very easily and for the most part looks clean (even when it needs cleaning). We ordered one of the lighter colors (can't remember if it was Tahiti White or Tahiti Ivory), which is not glossy, it has a matte finish. We installed it ourselves and cut the size to fit. Not too bad to install, but it is heavy. I was worried about the look as well, since we decided not to tile the tub area in that bathroom. I'm happy with it, but will tile the shower area in our master bathroom, because in that bathroom I would like a more custom look. However, if I had it to do over again for the family bathroom, I would choose the Swanstone surround again. Overall, very happy with it. Hope this helps! |

| We redid our shower with Swanstone in our last house. It was easy to install, looked good (in our opinions) and was easy to clean. We got pricing at the 3 local box stores and online and picked the cheapest.

I am really glad I got the Swanstone wall kit for our remodel. I chose to remodel because the old grout and tile looked terrible and I never want to have to remodel this bath again. Swanstone has a new color collection called Planet Earth with a high recycled material content. Ours is color Prairie and is matte and speckled. I priced it around and ordered from Lowes after applying for their moving discount coupon code on their site.

| We are thinking of replacing our tub (5' x 30") with a solid surface shower pan and walls. How are the seams sealed with Swanstone? Has anyone used Corian? We love our Corian counter tops - no seams and so easy to clean. Lastly, what is the approximate cost for this type of shower? Thanks! |

| The Swanstone for the shower above cost around $1700 total, including shower pan, trim, and niche. That was 4 years ago. Seams are caulked. |
