| Hello--
We want to have a piece of glass either 3/8" or 1/2" thick as a wall in front of a walk-in shower. It will be attached to a wall with a pair of clips, and to the floor with a pair of clips. It needs some additional support, ideally in the way of a floor to ceiling post. It will be approximately 6' 4" high and 6' 6" wide. The ceiling is slightly vaulted. The **only** product I have found after extensive searching is the CRL frameless vertical post system: http://products.construction.com/swts_content_files/3073/440240.pdf However, we we would prefer a post that is thinner-- say 1" in diameter and that could be attached to a slightly sloped ceiling. Does anyone have any brilliant ideas? Thanks! |

| We are in the midst if having a frameless shower glass wall installed. It has no clips, but rather the company routs a channel in the tile wall and curb, and sets the glass in the channel in epoxy, No leaks, no clips, no frames. You might want to search for companies that specialize in this type of installation in your area. Here's a link to our installer, but they're in central KY. |

| Originally we had thought of going with a single large piece of glass -- floor to ceiling -- but there's no way to get it in the door. 1) good idea about setting in a tile groove--we do have tile on both those surfaces. Designer suggested 3 floor to ceiling slightly overlapping glass panels. Here's how it would look -- approximately:
In this case the tile is greenish so we **might** go with regular rather than starphire--but use starphire in our downstairs shower which has blue and orange tile. |
