Bathroom Layout

In early stages of a bathroom remodel. I'm obsessed with this layout that I've seen a couple of times on Houzz ... shower to one side; water closet to the other side; with a tub floating in front of a feature wall. I'd clad our feature wall in an interesting tile instead of the wood shown in this link. Does anyone here have a similar layout? How does it work for you in real life?

RE: Bathroom Layout

Our bathroom isn't nearly that large but we do have a tub in front of the shower with an entry on only one side. It's the main bath shared by 17 & 19 yr old and guests. They really like it. We only take showers but felt like we needed a tub in the house and this was the only way to fit in both. The tub has been used twice in 4 years. :)

I got the idea from a contractor friend that put this configuration in a house he built. Here's the bathroom he built.

Really, what's not to like? :)
