Hot water shuts off in vanity sink!

I have a second floor vanity sink that as soon as the water gets warmish, it slows to a trickle. I know showers have hot water safety valves but do vanity faucets also have this? And how do I adjust it? It's driving me insane. It's a Pegasus faucet

Sorry, no solution to the mystery from me, but wanted to say that the exact same thing used to happen in our last house, and it was also a Pegasus faucet. The safety valve angle never occurred to me--I used to keep my water heater very, very hot.
