We are turning a 19'8" x 21' family room into a master suite. In the intrest of the budget- blasting tile choices that I made, we are rethinking the floor.

I want to run the wood floor into the BR, but still tile in the watercloset, and perhaps under the vanity, like a rug.

Has anyone done anything similar to this? Should I add another layer of protection to the wood in the bathroom?
