I am renovating 2 bathrooms and need 30" and 40-42" vanity cabinets. The bathrooms are small and I have seen wall mount vanities that I like. Besides the obvious fact that I'm losing storage space, is there any other reason NOT to go with the wall mount? I feel they will look less "heavy" and will allow me more space to show off the beautiful wall tiles I bought. I have no experience with wall mount vanities and am wondering about durability, stability etc.

I think the only disadvantages to wall mounted vanities are the lack of storage and harder installation(must be secured properly with studs in the back and maybe on the side, if not you take the risk of the vanity tilting). Other than that the are probably pretty much the same.
