I just realized the shower head and volume control/valve trim I ordered are "polished nickel", which is different from "brushed nickel." Yeah, I know, how could I not realize those were different? My other fixtures will be brushed nickel. The shower fixtures also come in stainless, and I'm wondering if the stainless might be a better match for the brushed nickel? I don't think I've ever seen polished nickel irl, does anyone else have that? How does it compare to brushed nickel?

Oh, and I just ordered these last night, so I think I can still change them. I'm really thinking the stainless shower fixtures would go better with the remaining brushed nickel fixtures.

Stainless is a better match with brushed. But I think brushed and polished can look fine together, as long as it is a good mix.

Thanks, catbuilder, I went ahead and changed the order to stainless. The people at FaucetDirect were very nice about it.
