I am looking for a modern look (no hexagon floor but stone look in porcelain) for a small bath/shower combo. I found one that I like on HGTV's bath section in modern or contemporary. I am on a strict budget so I purchased 3x6 American Olean subways from Lowe's and I like their Cosmopolitan 1x1 pale green glass mosaic for accent to frame the edges like a picture frame. I was wondering if I could mix Lowe's 4 x 4 diagonal cutout tile in the center like a liner and cut the glass mosaic to fit (four each) per cutout tile. Does that sound crazy or what ? I am really after a modern look and not vintage even though I like the subways. Please see the photo I have attached which is similar to what I am after except I will not have a color contrast tile around the edges. I also want to add a different kind of liner in the center.

| I just finished installing one today that was 4x8 tiles installed vertically in soldier coursing. I've got to grout it tomorrow morning, so I'll get pics then. |
