| Hello. I am having a family friend finish my basement in about a month. He is a general contractor. He will be doing insulating, framing, sheetrocking, taping, paintings and adding new trim. The basement is a simple rectangle with 1100sq ft to be finished. I am wondering what approximately can I expect him to charge me for labor. (I already know the cost of materials) He will be giving me an estimate, but I just wanted to see if I could get a ballpark idea from anyone out there. Any ideas would be great! Thankyou! |

| Quick rule of thumb is to double materials for a ballpark labor estimate. |
