basement sub-floor

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had any info/expierence with any sub floor solutions for a basement.

We have a 890sq ft area that currently has asbestos tiles that we don't want to remove, some of the tiles are cracking and comming up.

We had considered installing Dri_core but on their web site they it says: "A 1/4" plywood underlayment approved for use with sheet vinyl or adhesive-backed vinyl tiles should be installed with nails, staples or screws to the DRIcore panels." We thought we could install the tiles directly on the DRIcore.

Connecticut Basement Systems provided us with an estimate of $3800 to install their sub floor. Its a plastic 12X12 tile that allows air to circulate underneath it.

We were wondering if there is something similar out there that I can install.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Giorgio
