Has anyone painted their drop ceiling?

| We are planning on installing the "tinware" look tiles in our basement but are considering painting them to look like metal. I would love to see a picture if you have and any suggestions to make it as economical as possible. Thanks! |

| I just scrolled through here looking at dropped ceilings. There is a company called Ceilume.com that may have what you want without painting. |

| Thank you for your reply! We did decide on Armstrong tiles from HD and are in the process of painting them. The process is a bit tedious but we like the result and the cost fit our budget. We chose embossed tiles and a copper/bronze metallic paint to mimic tin. |
