Remodeling basement - from playroom to tween hangout?

My children no longer need a playroom so I want to redo the basement as a TV and hang out space for my tweens. I realize that they will be downstairs with no shoes while eating Doritos and probably sweating the entire time - so I anticipate a hot, smelly basement. (Please correct me if I am mistaken.) Thankfully I don't have a moisture problem in the basement, but I do need some kind of effective air circulation system, preferably a professionally installed system. I do have outside air access through a small window well window, but I would prefer not to have an open window (too easy to smuggle in prohibited things). Can you please share some ideas on how to keep the air fresh in the basement?

Add ducting and return from your furnace.

Seriously?!? Are you going to be checking backpacks and giving a pat down before they're allowed in the basement?

(Please correct me if I am mistaken.)

I took this to mean that she wanted advice about all of her assumptions. I think that nailing the windows shut because she's worried about smuggling is a bit weird. Opening a window to let in fresh air may solve her basement problem.

Not to mention that if that window is an egress window, it could pose a safety risk to make it so that they can't open it.
