Pallet wall in basement

I am tiring to find a low cost way to make my basement a little nicer. It is unfinished. The prior owners painted the floor. The walls had been painted over the years Netherlands prior owners put Thoroughseal over the paint so of course it didn't stick and its cracking off in sheets

I am thinking of doing a pallet wall. Has anyone done this? How do you like it?
