Dehumidifer to sump pump

Hello,

What are your thoughts of taking a pipe from my dehumidifer and routing plumbing to the sump pump? Would anybody discourage this?

If your thinking about draining your dehumidifier to the sump pump it.
Lots of folks do this, and I wish I had the convenience.
I have to manually empty mine.

That is a perfectly acceptable code approved method...the only consideration is that the lowest portion of the discharge line must remain a minimum of 2" above the flood level rim of the sump and let the water drip down from there.
