Adding a Window to a Basement

We have a finished, daylight basement with 1 room that could be considered a bedroom if it had a window. The ground outside of the proposed window wall is sloped, at about 30 degrees. There is a concrete walkway along the wall. This part of the house is brick. We are thinking that if there is room to put in a code-acceptable window without moving the walkway, it might be worth putting one in. (I think you have to have two points of egress to be considered a bedroom, please correct me if I'm wrong). Can anyone share their experience with this? Are there any types of windows that you recommend? The possible plan for the future is to make this a rental, but even if we don't go this way we will then have another 'official' bedroom.

Thanks!

Every bedroom has to have an egress window.
