| I have an old house that the basement is made from clay tile blocks. These blocks are hollow. I had an excavator do some digging today on one end of my house so the corner is exposed. Should these be filled with mortar mix. I don't know if they leave them open for water to flow through. I am afraid if I plug them that water will get in but not be able to get out, other than through all the joints. Anyone ever work with this stuff? I think you have to be an oldie to have ever used these. TIA |

| It is important to seal the open ends. Clay tile foundations have hollows which run horizontally. If water enters at the corners it can travel the entire length of the wall and end up entering your basement through cracks or other openings. |
