Drain Dehumidifier Into Sump Pump Basin

Hi,
A little background before I get to my question.

I have a sump pump basin in my basement (split-foyer so it's a semi-basement). When we moved into the house 8 years ago, there was an old sump pump that didn't work in the basin. It connected into the main sewer line out of the house. (I have well water and a septic field.) In 8 years, I have never needed a sump pump. During Hurricane Sandy, the basin got a couple of inches of water. Hurricane Irene produced a little more, but still nothing that required a sump pump. I just kept an eye on it and had a submersible pump ready if needed.

So, now I bought a dehumidifier with a pump system. I'm thinking of draining it into the sump basin. I'm hoping the water will drain out under the basin as it did during the two hurricanes.

Is this a bad idea? The dehumidifier has a 6-liter tank that I have to empty once or twice a day by hand now. So, assuming the drainage could keep up with it, what would be the effect of sending 6-12 liters of water into the ground ever day of the summer?

Thanks!
