Had a huge amount of rain in a short time yesterday. We have a "french basement" - a window below grade. Rain washed out some mulch which clogged the drain in the dugout so the water backed up to the level of the framing (but not to the glass). Water leaked in along the length of the window framing. Nothing we couldn't sop up with towels.

The basement is unfinished.

I think I know how to take care of the washout problem outside so that it doesn't happen again, but other than drying out the interior, is there anything I should look at to consider repairing? Framing? Insulation?
