Corning Insul-Drain board

I'm considering an outside waterproofing project. I know about the Grace Hydroduct Drainage Composite materials .. http://www.na.graceconstruction.com/product.cfm?mode=c&id=103&did=11 .. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with Corning's Insul-Drain product? http://insulation.owenscorning.com/homeowners/insulation-products/insu l-drain-drainage-board.aspx

Any feedback would be appreciated.

RE: Corning Insul-Drain board

I've used a similar product in the past over an old foundation before dimpled membranes were available. It provided drainage and insulation value without having to demolish existing interior walls. It also eliminates the need to remove native backfill and replace it with new granular material.

Did it "work" ? As part of a complete system we used-- crack repair, cove sealing and multiple layers of fibreglass cloth impregnated with fibrated asphalt--I guess so. Once I go to the expense and mess of excavating around an existing building, I like leaving nothing to chance.
