What is the ideal humidity level for a crawl space?

I just finished with a french drain and dehumidifier system for my crawl space in NC. What is the ideal humidity level to set my dehumidifiers? I can't find this number anywhere....

I too live in NC, and was told a long time ago that it's important to have thick plastic sheets placed over the ground in the crawlspace to cut down on the humidity level. And of course, if you have vents in the crawlspace, you should leave them open year round, although you might want to close off the ones near your boiler in the winter.
