Brick Basement Walls, and Wet basement in baltimore

My Baltimore home has Brick walls/foundation. When it rains, the low portion of the basement floor gets noticable saturated with water. There is also a noticable moldy smell. The house is currently gutted, and I was wondering what I could do to stop the leaking and clean up the mold/dirt?

Check past threads for all the usual: 1) divert all exterior water sources away from the foundation wall; 2) run a dehumidifier 24/7. For information on mold remediation, see here.

If water problems persist, you can attack it from inside or out. My preference, fwiw, is exterior, as interior "solutions" don't reduce the damage that continues to be done to the foundation wall by infiltrating water.
