| Hi,
We are building a home. We are considering putting radiant heat in the basement with forced air on the 1st and 2nd floor. Has anyone done this? Do you like it? Why? THANKS! :) |

| We put radiant heat in our basement, with forced air on 1st & 2nd. Two winters now, I believe our utility bills are probably half what they would be without it. Furnace does not have to kick on as often, basement seems to be dry as a bone. Make sure floor is properly insulated before you pour the concrete. My only concern was how to put up walls when we finish the basement. You can't shoot nails into the soul plates and risk puncturing the tubing. There's an industrial adhesive that does the trick. |
