RE: basement growing

What kind of plants are you thinking of?

RE: basement growing

you can get what you are looking for at Home Depot or Lowes. the security lights are what you are needing. either high pressure sodium, metal halide, or the self-ballasted flouros will work. some plants need both the sodium & either the halide or fluorescents. hydroponic gardening stores sell basically the same things at a REALLY nice markup. make sure your electrical system can take the extra load, or run a new circuit just for them. the fluoros generate virtually NO heat compared to the other 2 types i mentioned. cheap-poor
