Cultured Stone on poured cement foundation

Does anyone have experience putting cultured stone on a poured concrete foundation? We've been told conflicting directions from the places we have been shopping at, ranging from complicated to very simple. Has anyone on this forum actually done it themselves successfully? Would appreciate hearing from you.

No, but I would imagine it's easy with proper prep. Perhaps sandblasting to get a good surface for the mortar to adhere.
