How many toenails?

Posted by bcrawfo2 (My Page) on

Most of us have 10...I know.
I framed out my basement walls with PT bottom plates, but I missed the warnings about using galvanized nails. It's too late to re-nail from the bottom (already stood up and attached). How many toenails should I do? Can I get away with one on each side? Trying to save my arm, but don't want to compromise too much.

Thanks for input
Scott

There should be two toenails on either side. But if the wall's already in and you can't toenail from the wall side, just nail on the long sides--the sides at right angles to the wall.
