Can a flooded dehumidifier be fixed?

Hi. I don't know if 'm posting in the correct forum but I'm hoping someone here can help me. Our Sante Fe dehumidifier was in our crawl space during Hurricane Sandy and was completely submerged in sea water. Believe it or not, you can still turn it on but I don't know if it actually functions. Does anyone know if it's possible to resurrect this machine and if so, what kind of technician I should look for (ie appliance repair, HVAC)? I hate to just trash it because it was almost $2000 and only two years old. Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer.

Salt water destroys electric motors. aluminum condensers & evaporators, switches, and just about everything it contacts.

Any remaining salt sets up galvanic corrosion if ANY moisture i present.
