Have searched posts here but can't find anything current. My situation is this:

Low basement ceiling (under 8) with the one finished room currently done in mismatched 2X2 ceiling tiles (had to replace some because pipes sweated) with ugly brown tracks.

The old ones were so ugly but much better quality than the new (couldn't find the old). The pipes are very low so it was a pain to replace the ones I did so I guess I'm glad they were thinner. I guess I have to assume I'll need access again. I also have 9 recessed lights to consider.

I'm sure there are newer systems out there but my HD and Lowe's carry the same old 2X2 and 2X4.

I looked at the Ceiling Link and it looks like they would look much nicer but 2 to 3 times the price of the tiles.

Has anyone used these or other systems or have any advice in general?
