spayed in foam insulation?

Well, we did choose a new house to be built with a nine foot basement. The basement will have tiles under and all around the perimeter. The builder is suggesting that we have sprayed foam insulation to prevent dampness, insulate, and to prevent mice and insects from entering. Sounds good to me.

Opinions?????

RE: spayed in foam insulation?

You can't do any better than sprayed foam [See page 6] as a basement interior insulation. But insulation is not a preventive for mice and insects.
