Cabinets on basement slab- is poly needed?

I'm finally getting to the point in my basement finishing project that now I'm ready to install the cabinets. A simple question here- do I need to put poly plastic or any other kind of vapor barrier between the cabinets and the cement slab so that moisture doesn't wick up the wood?

For ours, I built the base from pressure treated. In your case, doing like I did would necessitate trimming away part of the cabinet. Mine were "boxes" without the base so it was easy.

Yes, I'm sure some poly would protect from the normal moisture transfer but I wanted to make sure if a pump fails the cabinets would still be safe.
