I am doing it now. Sweep it up well. Buy some "Drylok" at HD. Comes in a variety of colors. Assuming your floor has not been painted before and is in good shape, just paint it on with a brush.

I assume since the coverage is thick, you would need to buy a lot of drylok. Anyone know how much coverage you would get from each gallon?

I am planning on giving mine a washing before doing any sealing/painting on it. The construction process left a layer of dirt on the floor that I think needs to come up in order for the paint to properly bond to the concrete and not peel, chip, or bubble up in the future.

We etched ours with some type of chemical cleaner- I think you would want to do that if it is concrete....

Someone asked: "I assume since the coverage is thick, you would need to buy a lot of drylok. Anyone know how much coverage you would get from each gallon?" I just did a first coat on about 350 sqft and have about 1/3can left.
