We are currently in the middle of finishing the basement in our new home and we have decided to do drywall on the ceiling with one caveat.
We are building a soffit around our main HVAC trunk line all of our water, electrical, sewage, etc...also runs down the same line, so we were thinking since that is the area we would need to access most we could do some cort of ceiling tile instead of drywall on the bottom of the soffit.

Have any of you ever done this?? Will it look okay?? We just want to be able to have access to any of the mechanicals without having to tear out drywall in case something goes wrong.

Thoughts? Concerns??
