| I could use some help with improving our ventilation in a closed space. We noted a musty smell in the storage closet built under the steps leading to our basement. I took out the carpet and suspect that whatever moisture seeped into the storage area couldn't get out. I'm thinking of removing all the separate wood shelves, using only open metal shelving and installing some sort of fan. I could install a Broan "room to room" fan inexpensively and blow air into the area, and put in a grill to let the air come out. There are also systems designed for "hot rooms" where audio-visual equipment is stored that have fans to suck air both in and out. My wife would not be happy if I said that we can no longer close off this area. Thanks. |
