This is normal. For now, just keep an occasional eye on it for significant changes.

that way.. you two crack issues ... would stay in one conversation ...

in this post.. you have provided no info as to age of house.. soil type ... etc ... or any other pertinent info.. to come to any conclusions ...

the cracks may or may not be normal ... probably are normal.. but it would be nice to have more info ...

The crack in your first pic is insignificant.

However, the step-cracking in the pic below is not "normal". It may indicate movement from freeze-thaw near or above grade. Anything from improper fill to the water from a downspout set too close to the foundation to vehicle loading. If the step cracking is also showing elsewhere lower down the wall, you could be having settling or heaving problems at the footings.

The Performance Guidelines of the mandatory government warranty I build under require I repair any cracks exceeding 2mm and investigate as to their cause.

If you have no such recourse in your area, you could have an expert take a look. At the least, carefully monitor any change. Cracks like that don't get better over time.
