Sound proofing/insulating a shallow basement

we live in a high water area and have a "michigan" basement - deeper than a crawl space and shallower than a full basement - we can use it for storage and the furnace, etc are very accessible. here is our problem - all the utilities - sump pump, hot water tank and furnace are under the bedrooms. any suggestions on how to insulate from noise? thanks for your help.

You can apply fiberglass insulation inbetween the joists and then do a double drywall ceiling. You will also need to specially insulate vent holes and the like.
