Need help with a doorway partition

I just moved into a studio apartment and I'm looking for some help finding something suitable to block off the main room from the entryway.

As you can see from the picture, I don't really have room for a sliding door and I can't install a true door. There is a bit of room on the wall to the right though.

The walls on the back have limited space as well.

Does anyone have an idea for what I could do to help divide the room from the doorway, and also provide some sound buffer?

I'm not looking for a curtain but I cant find something that works well.

Question--why do you need a door there if this is a studio apartment? And why can't you ask the landlord to install one?

If you are renting, how much money do you want to spend on something that you will be leaving behind?

Are you allowed to fix things to the walls? Because you could probably install a regular door there.

But for a non-permanent installation, a curtain is the easiest thing. Use curtain rings, so that the curtain will slide back and forth easily.

If you get two curtains and hang them back to back, with perhaps a blanket or other insulation between them, you will get some noise protection. Thicker curtains, like velvet, will block more sound.
